The company is preparing to launch its first Jio Electric Cycle in 2026, touted as India’s smartest, most affordable, and longest-range e-cycle. Reports suggest this e-cycle will offer a range of 95 km on a single full charge, and it’s available for purchase with an attractive ₹1,499 EMI plan. Considering rising petrol prices, traffic, and environmental concerns in cities, Jio is specifically targeting students, working professionals, and daily commuters.
Jio Electric Cycle Design and Look
The Jio Electric Cycle 2025 has a modern and youth-focused design. It features an aluminum lightweight frame, premium blue-tech graphics, a digital display, and an in-built smart meter that displays speed, battery level, and trip range in real time. Its tires are made with a high-grip compound, making it more stable and comfortable on city roads. The seat is ergonomically designed to reduce fatigue even over long distances.

The Jio Electric Cycle is equipped with a 48V lithium battery pack that provides a range of approximately 95 km on a single full charge. Its electric hub motor generates approximately 350 W of power, allowing the cycle to reach a top speed of 25 km/h. It also features a Pedal Assist mode, which doubles the motor’s power as soon as the pedal is applied, saving the rider from exerting much effort. A full charge time is estimated to be approximately 3 hours, and fast charging support will also be available.

The Jio Electric Cycle includes several smart features such as Anti-Theft Smart Lock, Bluetooth connectivity, Jio Mobility App support, Navigation Assist, and Ride Analytics. The bicycle features a front LED projector light, a rear brake light, an IP67 water-resistant battery case, and dual disc brakes, providing both safety and grip. Users can also control battery health, mileage records, service updates, and lock/unlock options through the Jio App.
The Jio Electric Cycle is expected to be priced around ₹37,999, but the company may offer it with an affordable ₹1,499 EMI plan, which includes a minimal down payment and 0% processing fee.
